The Trust was incorporated as a Company on the the 1st November 1990 and granted charitable status later in the same year.  Paddy Noctor, Eve White and Tim Day had been working towards setting up the organisation since 1998.Since then it has operated as an independent charity offering - at different times - houses in Newport, drop-ins and day facilities in Ryde, Shanklin and latterly Sandown, as well as its own move-on flats.

In 1999 the Trust opened the 10 bed supported housing scheme at Butler Gardens, Shanklin.

Since 2001  the Trust has also operated support to people in their own homes throughout the Island under contracts funded by Supporting People.

Since 2003 the Trust has managed 6 flats and the "Workshop" in Fitzroy Street, Sandown.

2015 is also a significant year in that the Public Health grant has been obtained for the purchase and refurbishment of the flats and Workshop.

Over the years the work has been carried out in differing locations and adapted in line with needs of its service users - seeking funding to address these needs.  It will continue to look forwards and - as ever- to meet its challenges robustly.
